ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia - September 10, 2026 - Ulaan San (MSE: UNS) is partnering with Steppe Nexus MKE LLC to strengthen responsible, transparent and open governance in Mongolia’s mining sector and to introduce financial and technological innovation.
Under the partnership, shares in the project company will be made available to residents of the local community. The initiative is the first in Mongolia to combine mining with financial technology to give local communities direct ownership in a project company.
Following the completion of the preparatory work, the project has now entered its next phase, with the process of tokenizing the project company’s shares and making them available to local residents officially getting underway.
Tokenization is an advanced solution that records and verifies ownership rights in shares through a unique, blockchain-based digital registry, enabling ownership to be managed in a transparent, secure and accessible manner.

The initiative introduces a new model for ensuring that the benefits of Mongolia’s mineral wealth extend beyond the creation of economic value in mining regions, by enabling local residents to become direct owners and benefit from the long-term value generated by mining projects.
Details regarding the share ownership framework, eligibility, registration process and implementation will be determined in cooperation with the relevant regulatory authorities and made publicly available to local communities.
